  • Have a look around

    ...here you will find my life. I have found that the wonderful thing about a blog is that it has become a place for me to document my own life, while I document your's.

    My name is Mandi, and it is my passion to capture life's moments. From the cry of a newly born baby, to the happy tears of an adoption story, all the way to senior portraits that won't go out of style. Behind the camera, I prefer to capture the moments and not create them. I will offer suggestions and be available to you along the way so that you get the most out of your custom portrait experience. On the other side of the lens, I simply love life. I have an amazing family, wonderful friends, and can often be seen reading or crocheting (yep, I have a little old lady down deep in my soul!)

    Take a few minutes to check out my blogsite, catch up on the goings-on of a photographer from little ol' Centralia, and look at some pictures. If you are interested in a portrait session, all the necessary information can be found at the top or the bottom of the page. Real. Life. Captivating.

Day 20 {LANDON in FEBRUARY}

{Here we are – hard to believe I’ve been doing this for so long (and hard to believe also that I’ve got an almost-seven year old)!!! I got my start doing this when I decided to take at least one picture a day of Landon, for the whole month of February in celebration of his birth month. I borrowed this idea from Kerianne Brown, a fantastic photographer. Over the years, this compilation of pictures has become one of my most cherished possessions.}

Because it is totally normal to wear a wrestling singlet (that you mostly refused to wear during your ACTUAL wrestling season) to sleep in…. just kickin’ back for some morning video games on a school holiday!

Day 19 {LANDON in FEBRUARY}

{Here we are – hard to believe I’ve been doing this for so long (and hard to believe also that I’ve got an almost-seven year old)!!! I got my start doing this when I decided to take at least one picture a day of Landon, for the whole month of February in celebration of his birth month. Experiments. You guys were all about doing experiments today, so when you asked first to order a pizza (so you could remove the pepperoni), then for a popsicle and later some chips…. I just chuckle and let your imaginations run wild!

Day 18 {LANDON in FEBRUARY}

{Here we are – hard to believe I’ve been doing this for so long (and hard to believe also that I’ve got an almost-seven year old)!!! I got my start doing this when I decided to take at least one picture a day of Landon, for the whole month of February in celebration of his birth month. Assigning chores will never be the same. I asked you to pick up any dirty clothes you had left around the house…. next thing I know, I hear you encouraging your sister to help you – and beyond that, you made it into a game for her! I didn’t know whether to be impressed or appalled, but I definitely chuckled!! Later when I was telling Grandma you got this sly little smile on your face, that turned into a broad grin when she gave you a high five!

Day 17 {LANDON in FEBRUARY}

{Here we are – hard to believe I’ve been doing this for so long (and hard to believe also that I’ve got an almost-seven year old)!!! I got my start doing this when I decided to take at least one picture a day of Landon, for the whole month of February in celebration of his birth month. You are in this phase with such a loud personality – lots of expressions, lots of emotion, and almost no chance of us not knowing how you feel at any given moment! This reminds me of another scowling face I captured years ago – this is what happens when I disrupt what you were doing to pause for a picture and try to give you some direction, oy!

Day 16 {LANDON in FEBRUARY}

{Here we are – hard to believe I’ve been doing this for so long (and hard to believe also that I’ve got an almost-seven year old)!!! This might be the most YOU picture so far this month! For Christmas you received 19 nerf guns… and several hundred darts! You are obsessed, to say the least. Your dad was so awesome to build you this custom nerf gun wall, and it is really funny how often you rearrange your guns (several times a week, minimum).
