Why Lifestyle?

My photography style is what you see here…a mix of photojournalistic and artistic.

There are many reasons to hire a lifestyle photographer. With custom photography you get personal attention. I generally only book one session per day, so you have my complete focus. There is no stuffy studio with a waiting room full of restless children and stressed out parents. You and your children are able to relax and have fun in a comfortable setting while we get a variety of great photos that will showcase real emotions and real expressions.

During a family session we might arrange your family for some posed pictures, but the majority of what I shoot is true to childhood: running around the yard, playing with toys, and those truly engaging family interactions. For a newborn session, we take lots of time and let your baby set the pace. Maternity sessions are awesome, as they really can be whatever you make them; we can include family (husbands, kids, animals), or have a peaceful session with no other distractions. These sessions are not quick in and out sessions. A custom lifestyle session with me generally takes an hour or two, which insures we have plenty of time to check out a new toy, whip up a favorite treat, or give a little one a meal or break.

After the session, I spend time editing your pictures to bring out the best in each image. I will post a preview online, and we will have an in-person ordering session within the next week. This way I am available to answer your questions and help you select the best images and print presentations for your home.  After you place your order, they are sent to a professional processing lab where they are printed on top quality photo paper, using the best printing equipment available. The result is beautiful, high quality portraits that you will treasure!
