Every family should have a go-to photographer. Someone they can turn to when they need pictures taken to capture an exciting event or a special relationship. Lately, Julie is ours. Not only is Julie a great friend, and a fellow photographer, but when I need some backup (newborn portraits a week after a c-section…) or when I want to BE IN the pictures, she is our photographer. See, I believe it is just as important that we have picture of us with Landon as it is to have picture of just him. And in some cases, maybe more so.
What pictures do you cherish more? Pictures of yourself as a little kid, or pictures that show you as a little kid (or a big one) that also include those important people who helped raise you and make you who you are? I’m voting for the second. I hear a lot, oh, I have a camera, I can take my own pictures of my kids. Which is true. However, who is going to take pictures of you with your family? Who is going to capture the tickles and the smiles and the stolen moments with your spouse?
