On Saturday I had the pleasure of hanging out with one of the coolest families I’ve met to date through Celebrating Adoption. Meet the Murphy family, parents Christall and Jason, and darling daughters, Grace and Ava. Ava is from Ethiopia, and has been home for just a few weeks. When Christall first contacted me, I was excited. And then a while later she shared a story with me, about how much Ava LOVES apples, and could we possibly incorporate them into our photo session. Could I say heck yes fast enough? I love capturing the real stories behind families. So I did a little research, found Lattin’s Cider Mill, and we had an instant amazing day for our photo session.
Meet Miss Ava. This little girl is as precious as they come!
I asked her, do you like red or green apples better? The resounding answer, was RED!!
And she’s a total ham! If I was taking a picture, she was making a face for me!
Isn’t she beautiful?
What a lovely family! I had so much fun hanging out with Grace and Ava all over the cider mill/farm.
Momma and Ava…
and Daddy and Grace!
These sisters have such a wonderful connection already. Ava doesn’t like Grace to get more than a few feet away from her, and Grace just loves loving on her new sister. After we took the “nice shot” I called Grace over and had her tell Ava a little secret (I made up a silly non-sense sentence) and these girls laughed and laughed!
Christall, thank you so much for choosing me to capture this special time in your family’s life. I had so much fun with your family, and your girls are both just awesome!
