While I was gone {CAMP}

I am a bad photographer. While at camp, I took a ridiculously small amount of pictures. But not for lack of motivation. For lack of batteries, and lack of time. Man, I don’t think I have ever been so busy in my life. However, I think the ones I took captured a good portion of my camp week (and next year, I WILL NOT LEAVE camp without taking some pictures of the gorgeous creek…)

…where to start…

The campers: I have to say that we had an amazing group of campers this year (keep in mind, I have never before been to camp, but I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that this year’s were awesome). Morgan, pictured above with our co-direction Marita, is about as cute and curious as they come. My job for the week was running the devotional time for the boys, and I would not have traded my group of guys for anything. We laughed (did you know that you can use your armpit or kneepit and a straw to make a farting noise?), I cried, we memorized and talked and had a ton of fun. I am so glad that 3 of my guys from church got the opportunity to experience this amazing camp, and I am so thankful for each of the campers and their energy.

The littles: This is Kaden. Kaden is adorable. And shy, curious, funny, and as we discovered, quite the ladies man. His mom was on staff at camp, and his brother was a camper. Anyone who belongs to staff that is under camper age is a little. Littles are rad. They run around camp, reciting bible verses for beads, making fun of Squid, and just generally brightening our days. Thanks for the laughs, guys!

The staff: I can’t say enough thanks to each and every staff person I met at camp. Above is Morgan, who’s mom was the camp nurse. Each person, from the other devotion leader, to our co-directors, to the littles leader to those of us staying in RV Row…you all rock! Without a doubt, camp would have sucked without the contribution of each and every one of you. I appreciate your prayerful dedication, your encouragement and kind words each and every day.

The counselors and CIT’s: You all deserve your own category. Above is Landen, the world’s best cheerleader (and perhaps dancer). I have to say that as much as the staff is the backbone of camp, the you guys are the hands and feet. Every day I was blown away by your insight, your caring words and actions towards your campers, the way you led with confidence. Each of you was a gift to the staff and campers this year. When I hear someone say that the youth of today is lazy, or careless, or on their way to ruining this world, I get so mad. Because it is groups of smart, witty (that would be you, Tiger King), sweet and genuine future world shapers like you that prove them wrong.

I had a blast at camp, and cannot wait to go back next year!

Sneak Peek: Lindsey {LITTLE WONDER}

My adventure of photograping Lindsey has almost come to an end. She will be a year old next month, and our monthly photo excusions will be ending. That said, her 11 month session was a warm, sunny day and we had a great time. I have so enjoyed seeing her grow and change into this adorable, inquisitive, walking little lady.

Oh her blue eyes…I forget from month to month how amazing they are!

Look at her go! (and she’s so happy about it!)

Out of the Office

I will be heading to camp with the 4th through 6th graders from my church tomorrow. I am leading devotions, which is exciting and nerveracking all at the same time! If you need to get ahold of me, I am HOPING (*fingers crossed*) that I’ll have cellphone signal up at camp, so give me an e-mail or a call, and if by chance I don’t have cell service I will get back to you starting on July 27th.

Have a great week!

Sneak Peek: Aaron and Lindsey are {MARRIED}

I cannot tell you how much fun my second shooter and I had at this wedding. Aaron and Lindsey are both sweet, fun, hysterical people! We started the day photographing them getting ready, then enjoyed their wedding.

I love this picture! You can see and almost feel how excited Lindsey is to be married!

Then we headed out to do formals, but not before Aaron and Lindsey changed into their custom wedding Converse!

Now, before I go any further, I adore ADORE adore these formals. Lindsey and Aaron got married at their church in Pe Ell (the middle of nowhere…), and we took full advantage of the stunning field across the street.

Umm, there are no words. This is the group we were “stuck” with all day :)

The whole, fantastic and beautiful wedding party!

Isn’t she a gorgeous bride?

Love this one. I want my picture taken in this field!

Love the two taken on this little pathway.

During the reception, the kids and their cloud of bubbles kept us entertained.

I could not have choreographed this picture more perfectly!

I might blow this one up and put it on my wall…

This is Ciely, one of the four adorable flower girls.

Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Porter!

Sneak Peek: Jenny and Paul {Engagement}

I am so excited for Jenny and Paul to get married later this month. Jenny is the daughter of our pastor, and she’s one of my best preschool teachers! They have been together for a long time, and they are both really fun, sweet people. I hope you enjoy, Jenny and Paul!
