I’m always extra thrilled when I am able to photograph good friends and family. There is something extra-special about these sessions; you walk in knowing their personalities, already being comfortable with each other. I could not be more happy for Justin, Zene and Zylin. I know this little one has been much thought about, much hoped for, and will be much loved!

This family was a blast to spend the evening with! Alicia and John have their hands full with three of the cutest, funniest, most photogenic (and complete camera hams!) I’ve ever met. And well behaved ones at that! I love photographing families, because each one has a dynamic all their own, yet there is always something that reminds me of my own amazing family.

I’ve been thinking long and hard about what kind of military discount I want to offer. I think they are a great idea for everyone to offer, but especially now with my brother in Afghanistan, it hits home I have decided to offer 50% off my session fee, plus 15% off your print order, to military families as a way of saying thank you for your hard work and sacrifice!

I have loved reading each of your comments as you’ve posted them. It seems like the overwhelming majority of you would use the portrait session to capture one of two important things, either your family or your newborn baby! Great choices, if I do say so myself! Maternity sessions are a great way to capture the sweet 9 months when you have your baby all to yourself! We schedule the session between 32-36 weeks, and we can do a traditional studio session or an adventurous outdoor session.

Newborn Session

These sessions are my absolute favorite! What is better than a sweet, snuggly newborn? I think everyone should have the opportunity to capture this amazing time with their new babes. We schedule the session before 2 weeks, and I come to you with all of my hats, blankets and other props.

Child Session

Do you see this face? How can you not resist pinching those cheeks?! The fun of a session that focuses on your children is that we get to play, run, squeal and laugh, and you get that magic captured for a lifetime.

Family Session

Family sessions are special because they are all about the connection between mom, dad and the kiddos. My family sessions include lots of time to run around the park, splash in puddles, and play munchkin’s favorite games!

Senior Session

Senior year is such a whirlwind year in every teenager’s life, and I seek to capture the excitement and accomplishment of this time in their lives.

Isn’t she precious? And only 3 days old!

Madison is the beautiful daughter of a good friend of mine. I was thrilled when she came over today for her photo session. I’ve been waiting for this little one…I and her mama were pregnant at the same time for part of our pregnancies, and I think someday Landon and Madison might make a good match! (I know I approve!) She did so good, went to sleep pretty fast, and cooperated for most of the poses we wanted to try, even if she wouldn’t let me prop her up on her arms like I wanted!

Sneak Peek: Noah {NEWBORN}

I adore newborns. They are so sweet, so cute, so peaceful (most of the time!), and usually after we get them milk drunk (milk-a-holic, anyone?) and nice and warm, they take direction very well. This amazing and beautiful little guy belongs to this mama and her hubby, and I am so thankful that they shared him with me today!

Landon {May}

Oops. I’ve been a slacker I started out with the greatest of intentions. I was going to take one picture a day of Landon. And I make it almost three months, which is farther than I thought I would in the beginning. So, guilt-be-dammed, here are the pictures I DID take in May.

In case you didn’t notice, this kid is ADORABLE. Every day I look at him and I am just amazed at how much he’s grown, how many expressions he has, his sweet little smiles, and just how darn cute he is! Last week we had his three month weight check, and he officially weighed 8 pounds 15 ounces at 3 months (and 9 pounds 8 ounces just one week later!)
