It seems like the overwhelming majority of you would use the portrait session to capture one of two important things, either your family or your newborn baby! Great choices, if I do say so myself! There were so many great entries, that I…

If i won I’d like to do a All American photoshoot. I have 2 girls and 1 boy and have them all in red white n blue. I’d have my husband in his uniform. I am proud to be an american and have a soldier as a husband.

  • Natalie KaylJuly 10, 2010 - 10:34 am

I don’t have any pictures of me. I’d use the session to get some great shots of myself and give some to my dad.

  • Marjorie HansenJuly 10, 2010 - 10:49 am

Thank you for this oppurunity, from you and from Queen Bee!

I would use the session as a family session. Our last family session was done when our son was 2. Now he is 11! I know this time with him as a “kid” is fleeting.

  • Heather BriggsJuly 10, 2010 - 11:06 am

I would love to do a child or family session!!

  • Seana BarkerJuly 10, 2010 - 11:31 am

Mandi – how sweet of you to give away a photo session – it is so important for people to continue to document there lives in photographs so the future generations can see how there descendants lived in the past as well as being able to share the photo’s with this generation. Your photographs are absolutely precious and I would love to win a session to have pictures take of our family – me, my husband and our grown daughter who lives across the country in Boston now. We miss her tremendously and it would be great to get family photo’s on her next visit this summer or fall. Thanks and keep up the good work!

  • DevinJuly 10, 2010 - 11:39 am

If I won this giveaway, I would use it for a child session for my 15 month old boy! We have tried other local photographers for newborn, 6 month, and one year shots, and have loved to see the variety in styles. We would love to try out another local photographer and of course, we can never resist more pictures of our little guy!

  • NikkiJuly 10, 2010 - 12:03 pm

Thanks for the great giveaway. If I win I will give the session to my sister as a gift so they can have either a family pic done or something with just the kids. They live in DuPont.

  • Sasha DoneyJuly 10, 2010 - 12:37 pm

Gorgeous photos! I’d love win a family session with our only daughter who is 14 months!

  • HollyJuly 10, 2010 - 1:27 pm

I would love to win this because I have 4 kids, my older two are finally living with me from Florida and I REALLY want a family portrait of the 6 of us!

  • JoyJuly 10, 2010 - 2:34 pm

How exciting! I was wanting to update our family portrait. It’s time!

  • BaoJuly 10, 2010 - 4:34 pm

Thank you for this amazing opportunity!! Our baby girl is due at the beginning of September and I would love to have a newborn portrait session with you! Bless your heart!

  • Karen DailyJuly 10, 2010 - 5:06 pm

Oooh…your photos are beautiful! We have not had family portraits taken since my son was 9 months old, he’s now 3 1/2. I’d love to have another set of family portraits taken.

  • Rebecca DreschJuly 10, 2010 - 8:09 pm

I’d like to enter the photo session contest, your pictures are beautiful. I would love to win because my husband is due back from Iraq next month and we need an updated family photo! He’s been gone for a year, and we would love to have new family photos to share with our family and friends. Thanks so much!

  • MichelleJuly 10, 2010 - 10:37 pm

If I won I would get a famiy session.

  • KirstenJuly 10, 2010 - 10:38 pm

We’d love to win! Definitely for a family session. We have hardly any photos of the three of us, much less anything as adorable as the above!!

  • KristyJuly 10, 2010 - 11:01 pm

Love your work! If I were to win I would use the session for a family portrait!

  • SarahJuly 11, 2010 - 12:30 am

I think I would use the photo session to try to capture my 20 month old daughter. She moves so fast these days, I am hardly able to get a good picture!

  • JessiJuly 11, 2010 - 3:36 am

Your pictures are so cute! I would love to do either a maternity session (if there’s even time I am due July 29th and we took pictures over a month ago with a friend but I’ve changed so much since then) Or a newborn session. This is our first baby and I really don’t want to miss a moment and would love to have at least one picture of my pregnancy that I am willing to hang on the wall… We took some inside and outside our home, but I notice everything in the background of those like whats on the dresser or if the fireplace mantle is slanted in the picture, so I think I would like some pictures where there is more of a solid background like some of them shown on your site, where nothing takes away from the focus of the round belly that I know will be gone so soon!

  • JillJuly 11, 2010 - 8:20 am

I would love to do a family portrait if I won. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • SarahJuly 11, 2010 - 9:19 am

Your pictures are wonderful! I’d love to have a family session done. My husband is coming back from Afghanistan this week and I have a 2 year old son and a 6 month old daughter. My husband hasn’t seen my daughter since she’s a month old and I’d love to capture some great family photos to send to our families across the country.

  • maria jordenJuly 11, 2010 - 4:11 pm

For starters I am 25 weeks pregnant and already have 2 girls and 2 boy. I have no family pic so that is what I would do with. My birthday is july 15 so I would concider it the best birthday gift ever. Thank you for this oppertunity.

  • AmyJuly 11, 2010 - 8:07 pm

If I won, I’d love the family pic! I can’t believe how fast my little ones are growing and would love a great pic to remember this wonderful time.

  • Jenny HooverJuly 11, 2010 - 10:23 pm

If I won, I’d have to take pictures of Tony and I with our two pups… though it’s hard to get Molly and Rupert to stay still that long….

  • Celia HusmannJuly 12, 2010 - 12:38 am

If I won, I’d have to get a family photo session! We have very little pictures of the 3 of us.

  • JenniferJuly 12, 2010 - 1:49 am

I would use this opportunity to have family pictures done. We haven’t been able to afford photos since before our last son was born; he’s now 20 months. Just having a family photo session would be awesome. My parents live 2000 miles away, so they’d get a real kick recieving such amazing photos. Thanks for such a wonderful give-away.

  • Dawn FosterJuly 12, 2010 - 8:19 am

I would love some great family pictures 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Rachel AJuly 12, 2010 - 10:28 am

I would definitely use it for a newborn session. I just had my fourth child, a girl, on Saturday the 10th so this would be perfect timing.

  • AliceJuly 12, 2010 - 10:33 am

If I won, I’d bring my 20 month old niece and my newborn niece in for some sibling pics. What a cool contest!

  • Amy MJuly 13, 2010 - 8:29 am

This is a great contest! I would use the session for a family photo since we’ve never had one. We have a two year old and are expecting our second in December so the timing of this would be great.

  • ZeneJuly 13, 2010 - 3:44 pm

Hmm, gotta say I’d have to do the family session. The last time we took a family pic, it was with lifetouch…shudder!

  • Tina ThunellJuly 13, 2010 - 9:24 pm

If I win, I would give it to my best friend since 7th grade. She is 41 and pregnant with her first baby. This is a long awaited, much prayed for child. I would love to gift her the newborn session.

  • Lisa FlahertyJuly 13, 2010 - 9:46 pm

We are in desperate need of a family photo (according to the grandmothers anyway). I have been dreaming of the day I could afford an outdoor, nature insprired family pic for the wall, keepin my fingers crossed!!

  • christall murphyJuly 14, 2010 - 4:40 pm

I think i would have to go with the family photo shoot… but the *whole* family – grandmas/grandpas – uncles and aunts… we have NO pictures (at least none that are fit to be shown) of all of us together. I’d love to have that…

  • AdrienneJuly 15, 2010 - 10:01 am

I would love a child session or a family session.

  • Rebecca DreschJuly 15, 2010 - 12:39 pm

I entered above already, but forgot to tell you that we have 2 daughters, a 3 1/2 year old and a 21 month old. The younger wasn’t even walking when my husband left last year for Iraq, and now she is running all over the place! Thank you again for this opportunity at a chance for a family photo session.

  • SheenaJuly 15, 2010 - 1:13 pm

Great pictures! I love to have professionals take pics of my little bundle…how precious!

  • JoellaJuly 15, 2010 - 1:13 pm

I would love to do a family session! I love your family photos outside. They’re so beautiful!

  • JulieJuly 15, 2010 - 7:39 pm

I’d LOVE a family session. It seems we have so few with both of us and our girl since one of us is usually behind the camera!

  • TashiaJuly 15, 2010 - 10:04 pm

I’m probably a little too late to win, but I just stumbled upon this page at 10 PM Pacific on 7/15! But what the heck, I’ll throw my name in the pot anyway. 🙂 If I were to win I would want a session for my daughter and myself to celebrate her first birthday on Sept. 30. We have not had any professional photos taken of us since she was born, and I think it would be so nice to have some to celebrate her first b-day!

  • JenJuly 16, 2010 - 9:24 am

I would love to do a family session to get some current pictures of my family!

  • JenJuly 16, 2010 - 9:29 am

I’d love to get some family pictures as it’s been awhile since we had picture of all four of us!

The 3/50 Project

I saw this on a fellow photographers blog, and in a town like Centralia, this is what downtown revitalization is all about! What a great way to keep our community and economy afloat! So what 3 businesses do it for you? I can name mine: Christella’s Closet, A Pinch and a Dash, and the Bath…

Good post, Mandi! I have two: country village nutrition store and the willow grove farm. I wish there were more that tailor to my lifestyle, so I could invest in them as well. Buy Local!!! Buy American!

  • Christella's ClosetMay 2, 2009 - 2:52 am

Thanks for the KUDOS, Mandi! We feel so blessed to have such wonderful and loyal customers like YOU who are out chatting up Christella’s! YOU ROCK & we APPRECIATE YOU and all your support!!!

must attend event: Christella’s Crystal Ball

When I moved into town in September, my sister ranted and raved about a little dress shop in town, Christella’s Closet. So one sunny afternoon we wandered in, and I was blown away. Growing up in Centralia, I can’t say that downtown was the most hip place. I am so thankful to say those days…
