I have loved reading each of your comments as you’ve posted them. It seems like the overwhelming majority of you would use the portrait session to capture one of two important things, either your family or your newborn baby! Great choices, if I do say so myself! There were so many great entries, that I couldn’t just give away one session…so I’m giving away TWO! How’s that for awesome?! I used to pick the winners, and they are….

#11: Bao said: Thank you for this amazing opportunity!! Our baby girl is due at the beginning of September and I would love to have a newborn portrait session with you! Bless your heart!

#20: Sarah said: Your pictures are wonderful! I’d love to have a family session done. My husband is coming back from Afghanistan this week and I have a 2 year old son and a 6 month old daughter. My husband hasn’t seen my daughter since she’s a month old and I’d love to capture some great family photos to send to our families across the country.

Congrats to both winners! I will be e-mailing you this afternoon with more info, and for everyone who entered but didn’t win, keep an eye on your e-mail too ;)

Session Giveaway with Queen Bee Coupons {GIVEAWAY OVER}

I am excited to announce a giveaway today on Queen Bee Coupons! Heather is a friend of mine from church, and she is THE BEST at finding all the good deals online and in your local stores! I love seeing pictures of her hauls from various stores, how little she spent, and how MUCH she saved!

What’s up for grabs: A free session with yours truly. What kind of session, you ask? ANY kind! Maternity, newborn, family, child, senior…you name it, I’m up for it!

Maternity Session

Maternity sessions are a great way to capture the sweet 9 months when you have your baby all to yourself! We schedule the session between 32-36 weeks, and we can do a traditional studio session or an adventurous outdoor session.

Newborn Session

These sessions are my absolute favorite! What is better than a sweet, snuggly newborn? I think everyone should have the opportunity to capture this amazing time with their new babes. We schedule the session before 2 weeks, and I come to you with all of my hats, blankets and other props.

Child Session

Do you see this face? How can you not resist pinching those cheeks?! The fun of a session that focuses on your children is that we get to play, run, squeal and laugh, and you get that magic captured for a lifetime.

Family Session

Family sessions are special because they are all about the connection between mom, dad and the kiddos. My family sessions include lots of time to run around the park, splash in puddles, and play munchkin’s favorite games!

Senior Session

Senior year is such a whirlwind year in every teenager’s life, and I seek to capture the excitement and accomplishment of this time in their lives.

How to win: To enter the giveaway, please leave a comment (before July 15th at 9 pm PST) on this blog post about how you would use the session if you win. Make sure to include your name and e-mail.

The fine print:  The winner will be notified by e-mail (and posted on our blogs and Facebook) on July 16th. The session must be used by September 30, 2010. All prints and other items are available for purchase at normal prices.

must attend event: Christella’s Crystal Ball

When I moved into town in September, my sister ranted and raved about a little dress shop in town, Christella’s Closet. So one sunny afternoon we wandered in, and I was blown away. Growing up in Centralia, I can’t say that downtown was the most hip place. I am so thankful to say those days are behind us! Have you been downtown lately? There are some really great shops, which I will be featuring in the next few months. Leading the way, however, is the cute little corner of stores owned by Michelle Moline, including Christella’s Closet, Foxy Moxy, and the soon to be open Waddles and Wags.

I love walking into Christella’s Closet, at it seems to embody everything girly and gorgeous….how I wish this amazing dress store was open when I was in high school! And the first time you meet Michelle, or her mom, you can’t help but love them. They don’t just sell dresses; they truly want to give their customers the most amazing dress shopping experience. They are a “1 of” store, which means that you never have to worry about someone else showing up at prom in your dress (and lets be honest….after you put all the time into looking great, that peace of mind is priceless!)

So, onto the event: Christella’s Crystal Ball! I can’t tell you how excited I am to be working with Michelle to make this night a success. The Crystal Ball is going to be part prom fashion show, part multi-school dance. How cool is that? I am going to be there, taking Mother-Daughter, Girlfriend and Couple pictures, and I can’t wait! There are going to be great giveaways (at least 3 from Mandi McDougall Photography), a ton of fun dancin’, and of course, you can preview all the upcoming prom fashions!

Here is the official flyer:
